Connection Wizard
From you computer desktop, click
- Start,
- then Settings,
- then Control Panel.
In the Control Panel:
- Open Internet or Internet
Properties.
- Click the Connections tab.
The Internet Properties
screen will now look like this:

Click Setup.
- Select I want to set up my Internet
connection manually.
Click on Next.
- Select I connect through a phone
line and modem.
Click on Next.
- Enter 247-7100 for the
telephone number.
- Take the checkmark out of Dial
using area code and dialing properties.
Click on Next.
- Type in your username and
password.
Click on Next.
- Type OSUWeb.net for the
name of the connection.
- Select No when asked if
you would like to set up your internet mail. (You have most
likely already set this up and wouldn’t want to mess
with the current setup)
Click on Next.
- Click on Finish.
The Internet Properties -
Connections screen will look something like this:

Make sure Dial whenever a network
connection is not present is dotted.
Click on Okay.
Now, all you’ll have to do is double-click on Internet
Explorer and your computer will automatically dial into OSUWeb.net. |
